Corrie Woods is an author who is breaking the mold by forging her success through collaborative rather than competitive marketing.

 Corrie restates an old saying this way, Help enough other people to obtain their goals and greatest dreams and you’ll be swept to the greatest heights of your own dreams. As a first time author she faced the challenge of being an “unknown” in her typical, think way-outside-the-box approach. Her unique marketing campaign focuses on three key elements: being able to market from home and travel only on a selected basis (she really loves her home life!), creating opportunities to have fun collaborating with folks whose work she adores, and building a powerful word of mouth buzz – all resulting in an ever-increasing demand for the book and a call by satisfied readers for the next in the series! Her first title, The Woman’s Field Guide to Exceptional Living, was released in April of 08 and by May had been a BookSense Notable Pick by Independent Booksellers and was chosen as a finalist in The National Indie Excellence Awards. It seems like she is on to something! Other creative ways Corrie reaches her clients, in addition to her new publication, include offering half day to weekend Self-Care Retreats as a Certified Retreat Coach, dynamic teleclasses with international attendance, and one-on-one Self-Care Coaching Partnerships.

At the heart of Corrie’s success as a Self-Care Coach for Women and as a new author is the shift she made from being a Solopreneur to a Partnerpreneur™. She has developed a successful business model around the art of crafting win-win partnerships and is now writing a new book, From Solopreneur to Partnerpreneur™, and is designing a proprietary mentorship program. One example of how she has leveraged these skills and insights to promote The Woman’s Field Guide to Exceptional Living can be found at: Spotlight on Exceptional Women: A web-based women’s collaborative launched by www.womansfieldguide.com and featuring successful women from all walks of life. Each woman featured receives a unique web page highlighting them and their services. In return, participants agree to spotlight The Woman’s Field Guide in wildly creative ways. The target number is 50 women. Ex: features on blogs and in e-zines, promotion of the title to their local bookseller, providing a copy of the book to their customers and clients, links to their websites, etc. * This is a non-affiliate model that is fostering quality networking and success for the entire group. One facet of this collaborative is the introduction of Ten Minutes to Change Your Day, an audio interview series launching July 08. This series will feature 10 minute – to the point- interviews with Exceptional Women. Again, all linking back to www.womansfieldguide.com, and the goal of traffic building and book sales.  

Corrie has her sights on being hugely successful with The Woman’s Field Guide to Exceptional Living book series in order to open up possibilities for numerous books under development, and in order to support first time authors through simple, low-cost marketing methods that have helped her to be successful. In addition to current marketing efforts, she is targeting larger volume purchasers, organizations to partner up with, and repurposing and repackaging to reach larger audiences. Highlights of just a few of her projects under development and of her vision: • Books two and three in The Woman’s Field Guide series, accompanied by workbooks, audios and other related products. • Spotlight on Exceptional Women to become a dynamic, interactive, resource center for referral, masterminding, resource sharing and best-practices between all participants. In addition, it will become a well-known place to “shop” for services from great women and be a model for effective, creative online marketing. • From Solopreneur to Partnerpreneur™ publications and mentoring in support of collaborative, uplifting, and fun systems for success. • The Self-Care Café: an online forum supporting women in taking fabulous care of themselves in order to take fabulous care of the world. Offering books, training, resources for enhanced self-care. Corrie’s passion is helping others. She achieves that every day by sharing her expertise as a women’s self-care coach. She looks towards an opportunity to reach even further by helping first time authors through mentorship of effective community building/business building practices.

Corrie's book is one of the most proactive and practical self-help book I've seen. It encourages you, and facilitates your ability, to start journaling by providing a few empty pages, with textual cues, at the end of each themed chapter.
